Wouter Uijens obtained his Bachelor of Science with a double degree in Computer Science and Mathematics in 2014 from Utrecht University. During his Master’s degree Computer Engineering at the University of Delft, he did internships focusing on text mining and accelerating a computer vision system. In his thesis he did fundamental research into accelerating convolutional neural networks.
In 2018, Wouter started his PhD at the Image Sciences Institute at UMC Utrecht and joined the Quantitative Medical Image Analysis Group. In his PhD he focuses on automatically segmenting brain MRI and generating pseudo CT-scans from MRI-scans. He does this work as part of the Deep Learning for MR-only radiotherapy treatment workflow project.
